In my experience, the city of Atlanta always seems to have a hidden gem up its proverbial sleeve; whether it is a hip hidden neighborhood, a hole-in-the-wall diner that could rival some of the world’s most famous restaurants, or in this case two Brazilian artists whose sound and energy IMMEDIATELY grabs and holds one spellbound.
Thus was the case with Fernanda Noronha and Peru Pereira, the next artists we had the pleasure of interviewing. I first experienced their sound as they performed with the ATL Collective putting their own spin to the Astrud Gilberto “Beach Samba” album. As soon as I heard them, I knew I had to have them join us for a chat. They do have performances coming up, so do yourself a favor and catch one of their dates. Many thanks to Charlette Clark (aka Char Boogie - @charboogie74 on IG) for teaming up on interview duties. Enjoy the interview below…
