On Tuesday (March 10th), I had the pleasure of taking Naturally You to Creekside High School for a workshop put on by the mentors and mentees of Y2L2 (Young Ladies Love Yourselves). I'd photographed each of these young ladies in the weeks preceding the workshop as a part of this year's Naturally You focus; teens and preteens. These students REALLY had a lot to say on the subject of beauty, and the dialogue really made me proud of the entire project. I would like to thank Nicole Wylie and Shanā Webb for sharing their experiences and positive energy with the mentors/mentees as participants of the project.
I also had the opportunity to attend the Creekside Ambassadors' (male mentoring group) "Our Lives Matter" Assembly just before the Naturally You Workshop. So much positivity in one day! The Assembly featured appearances by Cam Newton of The Carolina Panthers and Richard Wingo of the R&B group Jagged Edge. Images below:
