When I began this project in March of last year, my intention was to showcase the innate beauty that a woman possesses. I wanted to strip away the foundation/lipstick/eye shadow/eyeliner, etc. and reveal the true beauty that lie underneath.
We have made it to 2015! I am always excited to see what the New Year brings, and this year is no different. I am fortunate to be able to begin this year where 2014 left off; working with 20+ wonderful women on this project that started as a small idea, and blossomed into somewhat of a movement.
The Naturally You Exhibit debuted on November 12th, 2014 as an outlet for my belief that everyone embodies their own unique definition of beauty. I do not believe that beauty can be defined using a specific set of parameters. It is found everywhere and inside of everyone.
I am proud of this project and all of the women who helped bring this project to fruition. All images were captured with NO makeup, no blemish removal, no airbrush, and no feature enhancement. These women embraced their TRUE inner beauty which in turn radiated outward. Please join us on Saturday, January 24th for the 2nd showing of Naturally You - The Exhibit. This will be an interactive experience, so come with open minds. Doors open at 3PM.
